My Top 10 Lifestyle Apps 2015

As a year draws to a close, one often reminisces about the year past.
For me, 2015 was as cram-packed as humanely possibly and without the help of some trusty apps on my smartphone I truly don't know how I would've coped...

Here's my compilation of the best lifestyle apps I found during 2015 -

Omvana - A personal meditation app suitable for beginners and experts. Recent studies have shown that meditation has many health benefits including increased happiness, reduced stress levels and improved sleep quality.

Coursera - Is an educational app that runs Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC'S). The app works with top universities and organizations to provide courses in physics, engineering, humanities, medicine, biology, social sciences, mathematics, business, computer science, digital marketing, data science and other subjects. And it is possible at a small cost to get a certificate of completion at the end of a specific MOOC.

MyFitnessPal - The best free online fitness diary and calorie tracker. Helps calculate macros, monitor water intake and has a huge exercise database as well as an online community forum.

Evernote - The most concise organisational app ever. Write notes, to-do lists, and research. You can save clippings from anywhere on the web, share and discuss your work with others within the app, sort and organize work with tags, and then search within your work folders for specific key words.

Duolingo - My favourite of the language-based educational apps. The app caters for users to learn Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Irish, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, and English. You can even add friends and compete with each other whilst leveling up and having fun

Happify - A science-based activity and game app, that helps with stress and anxiety relief. This app helps to retrain your brain to banish harmful negative thoughts and create a more fulfilling life

Expensify - The best way to manage a budget and control your expenses. Expensify can capture receipts, track time and mileage, and create instant expense reports. All you need to do is take a photo of your receipt, and choose which report to file it under.
Lost your receipts? No worries... this app can also import your credit transactions and create an eReceipt for purchases under $75

Accomplish - This is a simple to-do list generator. The app also has an in-built daily planner, and sends reminders for tasks that you've allocated to yourself.

Yummly recipes - A cooking app with a database of over 1 million different recipes to suit all individuals. You can collect, share and save your favourite recipes and the app also can auto-generate a shopping list the recipes.

Luminosity - My favourite brain training app, which is used by 70 million people worldwide. Train your memory, attention and brain processing speed. The app hosts 25+ cognitive games, which are organized into a daily training plan.

Happy downloading and a toast to a more fulfilling and happy 2016.
Much love,

Sarah xxx
